In brief, healthy eating means you do the following:
- Consume more fresh fruits.
- Cook more at home and eat less fast food outside.
- Add more bean to your diet.
- Take more fresh vegetables as snacks and full meals.
- Ensure thicker chewy bread, and less refined white bread are part of your meals.
- Eat more fish and skinless chicken/turkey.
- Avoid red meat as much as possible.
- Eat low-fat dairy products. Skimmed milk is preferable to full milk.
- Add limited fat to the dishes on the plate (in the form of butter, mayonnaise, and sour cream).
- Eat healthy snacks to relieve your hunger pangs.
