Important healthy eating habits

In brief, healthy eating means you do the following:

  • Consume more fresh fruits.
  • Cook more at home and eat less fast food outside.
  • Add more bean to your diet.
  • Take more fresh vegetables as snacks and full meals.
  • Ensure thicker chewy bread, and less refined white bread are part of your meals.
  • Eat more fish and skinless chicken/turkey.
  • Avoid red meat as much as possible.
  • Eat low-fat dairy products. Skimmed milk is preferable to full milk.
  • Add limited fat to the dishes on the plate (in the form of butter, mayonnaise, and sour cream).
  • Eat healthy snacks to relieve your hunger pangs.
