Job hunting is a task that requires time, effort and dedication.
It is, therefore, risky to start looking for a job when unemployed ā
So, consider this:
Start looking for new opportunities while still employed and financially stable. ā
This strategy, which I call the “calm hunt”, can provide you with the security to make well-informed decisions.
Many people start job hunting out of desperation, leading to hasty decisions. ā
The rush to secure another paycheck often results in overlooking job satisfaction or career growth. ā
On the other hand, imagine seeking job opportunities while still employed. ā
You’re not desperate and can afford to wait for the perfect opportunity. ā
You can take your time researching, networking, negotiating, and can say ‘no’ until you find the right ‘yes.’ ā
So, could you shift your perspective?
š¶ Don’t wait to start job hunting until you’re in dire need.
š¶ Instead, start the “calm hunt” while you’re still employed and financially secure.
Remember, the best time to look for a job is when you have one.
Start your calm hunt today, and your future self will thank you.
